Stagemates

goes to work.

- Stage mode
- Band sync
- Your own AI

The Basement Tapes
band songbook · 42 songs · 7 setlists
synced to the whole band · just now
Demos in Dropbox. Tabs on Ultimate Guitar. Charts in a binder. The plan in the group chat. Nothing connects the song you recorded to the song you perform.
Stagemates is the bridge. The binder retires.
How it works
Everything your band plays, in one place.
[Intro]
A home for the music you made
Demos, bounces, and voice memos — organized as songs, not files. There's no Ultimate Guitar page for a song you wrote; here it gets a first-class home.
- Any recording becomes a song — waveform, key, BPM, lyrics
- Demo, live take, and click track together on one song
- Stagemates hears the chords, key, and sections — and drafts the chart, yours to correct
heard: Am · 128 BPM · draft chart ready
[Verse]
A home for the covers you play
Ultimate Guitar gives you a chart. Stagemates holds your band's chart — your key, your ending, your reference recording.
- Your arrangement — structure, key, and capo included
- The recording you're matching, on the same song
- Import what you have — PDF, photo, or paste
[Pre-Chorus]
Charts that are data, not paper
Chords over lyrics in a native editor — not a PDF scan. Because the chart is data, the book bends to the gig. The one on the right is real — press the buttons.
- Chord-over-lyric editing, with song sections
- One-tap transpose and capo across the whole chart
- A chart per arrangement, all on the song
Paper Moon
Original · key of G
[Chorus]
Paper moon hanging over Union Street
Cardboard stars for everyone we meet
It ain't real, but it's ours to keep
↑ live — press it. The singer will, eventually.
[Chorus]
Built for the band, not just the musician
A shared songbook for every band you're in — and a personal space that's just yours. Invite by email, and everyone sees the same, current truth — no "which version is in the Dropbox."
- Lead your band, or join several — each with its own book
- Your personal library stays your own — share songs when you're ready
- Edits land on every bandmate's screen live — no pairing
- Local-first sync — charts open instantly, no spinner
[Bridge]
Take it on stage
Full-screen charts that scroll at your tempo, with a count-in before the downbeat. The chart you rehearsed from is the chart you perform from.
- Auto-scroll per song, count-in delay included
- Setlist play mode — swipe song to song, front to back
- Chord diagrams and stage-size text
- Free on every plan — we never gate the stage

Bring your own AI
Stagemates speaks MCP — connect Claude or any assistant and it can search the songbook, build setlists, transpose charts, and run audio analysis. No chart app or band app has this.
- OAuth sign-in — it acts as you, on your bands
- Its changes land live on the whole band's devices
- Building a set becomes a sentence, not an evening

FAQ
The fine print, out loud.
What happens when I hit 15 free songs?
Nothing disappears. Your library is never deleted — past the limit, extra songs are locked (read-only, not lost) until you upgrade or make room. And the stage is never gated: charts, transpose, setlists, and stage mode keep working on every plan.
Is my music private?
Private by default. Your uploads are visible only to you and your bandmates — no public profiles, no feed, and your audio is never used to train AI models.
Can I keep covers in Stagemates?
Yes. Stagemates stores your band's own arrangements and charts — the same things your binder held. We don't distribute a song catalog.
Does the whole band need paid plans?
No. Bands are on every plan, including free — invite by email and everyone works from the shared songbook. The Tour plan (coming soon) adds one bill and pooled limits for the whole group.
What does it run on?
Any modern browser — phone, tablet, laptop. Nothing to install.
What exactly is the AI doing?
When you upload audio, Stagemates listens and drafts the key, song sections, and a chord chart — a starting point you edit, not a black box you trust blind. You can also connect your own AI assistant to work the songbook for you.
[Outro]
One songbook. The whole band. All the way to the stage.
Fifteen songs free — enough to play a real set.
